Dap Trying To Pressure ROS To Withdraw Directive For Fresh Poll

The DAP is dilly-dallying on the directive from Registrar of Societies (ROS) to hold fresh election to elect the party central committee members as the father and son – Lim Kit Siang and Lim Guan Eng – continue to ‘lobby’ for public opinion to put pressure on the Registrar to withdraw the directive.

Now Guan Eng demanded the Registrar to state the reason and under which section of the Societies Act that compel the party to do so.

Guan Eng and his father are trying to find every way they can for the party not to hold fresh election as doing so would expose their ‘cheat’ or trick that enable them to put Zairil Khir Johari into the leadership line-up.

The two are trying to play with the present mood of rallying the Chinese community to pressure the ROS to withdraw the directive but this does not seemed to work. The Chinese community themselves, despite rejecting Barisan Nasional (BN) in the last general election, have however not responding to the father and son.

In this case, the community seems to separate the issue between party and  rejecting BN. Probably the Chinese also want to see a clean leadership election as what they wanted to see in the government and ruling party.

Going by the rate Guan Eng hits out at ROS, it is only understandable when bloggers go on a ‘shooting spree’ at DAP and Guan Eng because these bloggers do not see any logic why DAP cannot hold a fresh party poll.

After all, it is not a problem for the so-called ‘efficient and able’ chauvinistic party like DAP to conduct a fresh poll given that the party has all the resources needed.

Unless Guan Eng finds himself difficult to convince the disgruntled members that a fresh election is called due to some irregularities in the December poll which was done on purpose.

Or Guan Eng still cannot find a way on how to make sure delegates to the election pick his candidates, which is what he wanted.

The father and son are actually in a difficult situation and that is why they are putting pressure on the ROS with the aim the latter withdraw the directive.

ROS on the other hand should just stick to the decision of which, if the party fails to comply, de-register it.
