Ramadhan is just around the corner and many
of us have made preparation waiting one of the holiest months for us Muslims.
Preparations are also made on the activity during the fasting month. The
atmosphere is joyful yet the humbleness of the occasion makes our hearts filled
with hope of redemption.
However,
during the preparation to welcome the month of Ramadhan, certain political parties
are setting up their own agenda to propagate their political faith. We have
detected that they are currently spreading their political doctrine in “surau”
located inside of our government’s ministries buildings and government offices.
They gave their sermon, right before Zuhur (Mid-day Prayer) to ensure that
their message is received by those who are working with the government.
Sadly,
this has become a tradition on every Ramadhan, “surau” management in these
ministries will invite “religious expert” to give the tazkirah or short sermon
before leading the Zuhur prayer.
Such
activity is promoted in Islam, as in the month of Ramadhan, Muslims are urged
to pray more, attend religious classes, giving alms, doing charitable work and
much more. It is even said in the Holy Quran that Allah will reward you more.
Sadly,
this chance is wrongly used by opposition religious clerics as they penetrate
all of these government departments and spread their ideologies to government
servants.
Some of
the committee members of these surau’s were involved in bringing these people
to their workplace. It is easier for the opposition to enter these highly
guarded building without much hassle.
And
now, many surau in government building has been subjected to their ceramah or
also known as a government bashing session.
Previously, only mosques and surau is their
primary target, however, these people are now attacking government owned
building and spread their vision of a perfect Malaysia. The holy month is less
that 2 month away, it should be filled with prayers, zikr and also doing
charity. But now, because of the sermon that they gave, even government servant
is influenced these people.
We hope
that the Chief Secretary to the government of Malaysia will look into this
matter, and ensure that none of this will happen in your ministries or
department.
Religious activity cannot be mixed with
political activities because government department serves the people and not a
place to politicize issue.
We have
received the election result for GE 13 almost for 3 month now, it is time to
stop the bickering, stop the lies and most of all stop the politics for a while
and focus on the people.
